Quite often i see people asking which text editors others use to work with their G-Code.Some even suggest paid ones.I am using a free general-purpose advanced text editor called Notepad. In fact i am using the same editor to create code for my apps too.It is so flexible, it can recognize the language you are working with and turn on the language-specific highlighting for even the G-Code.I have created my own Language profile for it. I use a editor called EdytorNC that is freely available here: sourceforge.net/projects/edytornc/テつxA0I use this program daily & have since around the middle of 2013 & find it indispensable for my job. I have contacted the author several times & offered suggestions & he usually implements them very fast.

In this tutorial you will learn how to create a GCode file from a picture. What do you need: – Inkscape - Software – DXF2GCODE - DXF2GCODE – Notepad - Software – A picture or a DXF file If you already have a DXF file go to the second point “Generate the GCode from DXF”, else.
It has helped me learn g-code programming since you can customize the codes to display a tool tip type comment that shows you what a particular code actually means! I can't say enough good things about the program or the author! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you give it a try!!!!!There is also a google+ page here: is the authors description:EdytorNC is text editor for CNC programmers. © 2009-2018 Eldar Gerfanov.
